Medical TV shows have us feeling all of the emotions, all the time.
In almost every season, we witness the greatest love stories of all time, truly heart-wrenching deaths and everything in between—there's really nothing we can do to avoid crying at least once an episode.
But that's not all—thanks to their career tragedies and triumphs, we have also been gifted with some pretty iconic inspirational quotes.
Today, we're counting down 10 of our favourites. And as a bonus, we've created some free downloadable iPhone wallpapers to inspire you for the weeks to come.
"Sometimes in life when you get what you want, you end up missing what you left behind." —JD, Scrub
"Bad things happen, but you have to move past it. Leave it behind. The sooner, the better. Or it'll eat away at you and stop you from moving forward." —Miranda, Grey's Anatomy
"We cannot be scared. I would hate to miss another boat." —Mark, ER
"Fate might shake us, but our roots run deep. And we have love to water them." —Jenny, Call the Midwife
"Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then look around. Drink it in, 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow." —Meredith, Grey's Anatomy
"We can't fix everything." —Mark, ER
"I have come to the conclusion that there are only two reasons for ever doing anything. One is love, the other is fear." —Sister Julienne, Call the Midwife
"Maybe the best thing to do is stop trying to figure out where you're going and just enjoy where you're at." —JD, Scrubs
"Invisible wounds are the hardest to heal, for their closure depends upon the love of others. On patience, understanding, and the tender gift of time." —Jenny, Call the Midwife
"What's broken can be mended, what's hurt can be healed. No matter how dark it gets, the sun's gonna rise again." —Meredith, Grey's Anatomy
